The black colour is made out of MAtka cotton which with every wear gets better in terms of wrinkles and ironing needs. The 'Maya' or the initial starch of the fabric goes away giving you a smooth silk-like feel but still keeping the airy quality of enriched cotton. 

Fits true or regular to size unlike many kurta being too tough to get into the long placket or 'kaaj-button' helps you with every try.
